Faulkner explains to Alfred Sheppard Dashiell why he will offer Spotted horses to the Saturday Evening Post and thanks him for criticism of Death-Drag. Dashiell criticizes a story offered him. In an updated note, ca. 1924, Faulkner instructs publishers at the Four Seas Co. to dedicate The marble faun to his mother.
